Since opening our doors in 2013, SIG Solar has always been focused on family and the community we serve. Our goal is to make every client feel like they are part of the SIG family while providing the best quality service possible. From designing the solar panel layout that is best for you and your family’s needs to the final installation and inspections, the SIG family will be there every step of the way!

Company History:

  • 2008 recession, prior to this the Kerr family were Concrete and General Contractors in Oakdale.
  • From 2008-2013 the Kerr family traveled all over the country installing commercial solar systems.
  • Started SIG Solar as an installation company and teamed up with Sales companies to fulfill projects.
  • SIG started originating their own sales in 2014 in an effort to better serve our customers and get rid of some of the bad solar experiences that we were seeing.

The Owners

SIG is a true father-son operation with Stephen Kerr and his sons Paul, Jared, and Aaron overseeing every part of the solar process. Solar Installation Group, Inc. started as a 3rd party installation company for solar sales companies across the US in 2013 doing residential, commercial, and agricultural solar projects.

We operate under our contractor’s license which has been active for over 40 years. After seeing what was lacking on the customer service side of the solar industry, and looking to bring the knowledge of sustainable energy back home to their local community, the Kerr family made the commitment to create a local, family-based company that has since developed into both a solar sales and installation company. SIG Solar prides itself on customer service, family values and bettering the community we live in.

We have been so overwhelmed by the love and support from our local communities, that it has only furthered our drive and mission to bring solar to every roof in California; including yours!

Office and Reception

SIG Solar’s Office Team consists of Melissa Kerr, Judith Hoot, Tiffany Kerr, Lynda Walker, Kendra Robinson, Rickie Daley, Sara Kerr and Callie Camper.

These ladies take care of all the behind the scene workings that range from permitting SIG jobs, interconnection, account management, scheduling, customer service and much more.

With all their knowledge and dedication, they strive to ensure your solar experience is a smooth and easy one from start to finish while keeping you informed every step of the way. They are always ready and willing to answer any questions and go above and beyond to help you with any of your solar needs!

Their combined knowledge and experience allow them to ensure your install process is done correctly, safely and efficiently. They strive to uphold and project a level of professionalism and customer service you’ll appreciate and love about them.

SIG’s install team oversees the entire install process from start to cleanup so you don’t have to worry about a thing!
